Shallow Brook Intermediate School recently completed its Pennies for Patients campaign. Students brought in their loose change to donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in order to support the research and treatment of blood cancers in children. The school?s goal was to raise $1,000 for this worthy cause, but the students and staff nearly quadrupled their goal by raising $3,717.21. Sixth-grade teacher Emily Kramer, back row, far right, is pictured with her top earning classroom.
